This. We come from very different paths, but I identify with so much of this article. I was always the smart kid, then had a reality shock period, burned out, and now struggle with trying to forge an untraditional career path without the comfort or prestige (even if I succeed) that a lot of the people I know seem to be heading towards.

I do wish I had to learn how to work harder when I was younger, but it’s more complicated than that, and everything is a work in progress.
